Richard has served as Powerlifting Director for Special Olympics North Carolina for thirty years. He has had many experiences serving as the Powerlifting Sport Director for the 1999 World Games, head Powerlifting coach Team USA 2003 and Powerlifting Technical Delegate 2007, 2011, 2015 & 2019 World Games. He also has served as Powerlifting Technical Delegate for the USA National Games since 2006.
Additionally, Richard is a member of the Rules Committee for Powerlifting Special Olympics International
