Dave Boliek became North Carolina’s 21st State Auditor on January 1, 2025. A Lincolnton native, he has lived across the state and worked as a prosecutor, small business owner, attorney, and Chairman of the UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees, where he eliminated the university’s deficit and created its Audit and Risk Committee.
His legal career includes serving as Assistant District Attorney in Cumberland County and litigating in State and Federal Courts.
Dave and his wife Haden live in the Durham/Chapel Hill area with their four children. He is a Christian elder and holds degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill (undergraduate) and Campbell University (law and MBA).
