Clark R. Garthwait is the Assistant Scout Executive/Chief Operating Officer for the East Carolina Council serving the youth of Eastern North Carolina. He moved here in 2023 from Northern Minnesota and has been a Scouting Professional for 14 years serving in councils in La Crosse, Wisconsin and Duluth, Minnesota and this is his second career. His many life experiences have helped him in his Scouting career and life. He is an Eagle Scout and the father of an Eagle Scout. He has a deep passion for Scouting and in his free time he enjoys traveling and learning about the area, woodworking and spending time with his wife Diana and their rescue dog Sriracha. He has been married to his wife Diana for 28 years and they have two children. Emily is a biologist in Oregon and Paul resides in Wisconsin.
